I worked with Mrs. Thompson on one of her projects at the museum. I enjoyed visiting with her and discussing genealogy. She was a very pleasant person and I am going to miss her.

Ernestine was a loyal and true Alpha Delta Kappa sister. I will always remember her efforts to keep those ladies in Austin organized and informed. I guess the neatest thing I remember about her telling me one day when she had purchased a new Cadillac, I asked her all about the paint, inside, radio, etc. But she wanted to show me under the hood when we went outside and tell me all about the motor! Wasn't that just like her. Jesus has another sweet angel in Heaven today.

Ernestine was a very sweet lady. I loved seeing her at the State ADK meetings that she use to attend. She always had a sweet spirit and she shared it with everyone around her. She will be missed.

My Condolences go out to the family of Ernestine.
I considered her one of, if not my best friend. Although we were many years apart in age, we had almost
an identical outlook on life. We spent many hours talking about Austin, history, planning events, and laughing, trying to find ways
to inspire future generations, so
that they may create a better quality of life for all. I feel like
both of us were able to see a measure of success
of the efforts through many young and old people who have been inspired to serve humanity in more
positive, ways.

Isn't that all a human can offer
to the world?
Ernestine will be missed by many, in many ways.
