It was in deed a blessing to know Mr Lee and God knows I am going to miss that good Peppercorn (smile). My prayers are with you and I pray that God will give each of you the strength to carryon. To the Mercer family: I had the privelege of serving with Lee on the USS Ogden. He could pitch a softball faster than anyone I had seen. But, he left an impression more as being a good man. It was my pleasure to see Lee and meet Lena and Leah just recently. I know he will be missed, but being with God isn't a bad thing. We will be praying for the family.
