Although it grieves me to learn that my play mother (as she became many years ago while the minister of music at my late father, the Rev. E.M. Franklin's church in Round Rock, TX) I know that she is in a better place. My prayers are extended to the immediate family that you may find comfort during this time. Peace be with you all!

Mrs Wicks was a wonderful lady, I loved to hear her sing and speak. She would always call my sisters and I the "Bowden Girls". Love you and Rest in Peace!

To a woman who taught me many things, but never forgot anything. I am truly indebted to you for your time here on earth with me. I will miss hearing your voice, seeing your smiling face, and treasure the time we shared. A tremendous woman of God. Rest in Peace.

Mother Wicks, was the mother of the church that I grew up in. She has had her hand in raising a lot of young people. I am blessed to have been a member of a church that had Pastor Wicks and Mother Wicks at the head. They have both helped shaped me into the man I am today and they will be missed. I love you...Rest in Paradise!

Although you are gone, you are never forgotten. I will forever remember you and Rev Wicks as you both touched my heart in many ways. Rest in heaven.

Condolences to the family.
What a glorious life! Soror Wicks, Lady Wicks and First Lady. You, my mother (Lady Rosa Fowler Clark) & my aunt (Lady Crezetta Joost) were all women of distinction in every arena of life.
