Fred Douglas McCradic was born May 24th, 1932 to Mr. Ollie and Lillie Jones McCradic in Austin, Texas
Fred attended Anderson High School.

He was united in marriage to Rose Lee Holiday and out of the union were six children Fred D. McCradic, Jr., Derrick John McCradic, Michael McCradic, Hershel McCradic, Bryan McCradic and Jessica (Tina) McCradic. He later married Bertha Jackson in August, 1977.

He was employed at the Employees Retirement System of Texas were he retired.

On November 18th, 2011 around 12:47 PM the Lord called Brother Fred McCradic home.

He confessed religion early in life at the Main East Austin Baptist Church. He later joined Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church where he was active as an Usher and President of Brotherhood, along with being a very active church member.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents Ollie and Lillie McCradic, two sisters, Erma McFarland and Barbara (Bobbie) Jean Ferguson; brothers Leroy McCradic, John McCradic, Olive (O.B.) McCradic, Robert McCradic, Hershel McCradic and son Fred D. McCradic, Jr.

Fred leaves to cherish his memory wife Bertha McCradic; step-children Bobby Jackson,(Memphis TN), Deborah Minick (Atlanta GA), William Jackson (Austin, TX), Linda Burt (Atlanta GA), Bertha Coleman, Marilyn Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Marie Jackson and Brenda Tarver (Austin, TX); ex-wife Rose Lee, children; Derrick McCradic, Michael, McCradic, Hershel McCradic, Bryan McCradic and Jessica (Tina) McCradic (Columbus MS); nephew Michael E. McCradic, Sr.(Brenda) (Austin, TX) and a host of grandchildren, great grand children, nephews, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
