Leroy Thompson was born on February 5, 1928 to Mr. Israel Thompson, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Shaw Thompson in Del Valle, Texas.

He confessed a hope in Christ and united with Del Valle Missionary Baptist Church.

He was married to Mary Katherine Watson for 36 years and to this union three children were born.

Leroy worked and retired from Frostex Foods after 25 years of service. He later came out of retirement and worked for A.I.S.D. as a crossing guard for 10 years retiring in 1996.

Leroy was preceded in death by his wife Mary Katherine; his parents, brothers, Michael, Isreal Jr., Lee, Lorenzo, L. J. and Pastor Nathan Thompson; grandson Craig E. Thompson and daughter Rosie Lee Watson.

He leaves to cherish his memory five children, Mary L. Thompson-Cromartie, Michael Thompson (Jackie) of Mesquite, Texas, Danny Thompson, Tammy Tolbert of Atlanta, Georgia, Eula Singleton of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Donna L. Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia, Alex Thompson of Dallas, Texas, David Thompson of Mesquite, Texas, Alexandria LaKeisha Drew of Atlanta, Georgia, Cynthia Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, Issaic Singleton, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Theo Thompson (Pauline), Hubert Thompson (Leona) of Houston, Texas, Odell Thompson, Harold Thompson (Carlotta); sisters, Dolly Raven of Houston, Texas, Helen Armstrong of San Antonio, Texas, Mildred Thompson (Earnest), Bobbie Nell Thompson; special extended family, Mrs. Erma J. Quinton, Pastor Alvin Quinton, Anthony G. Quinton and Areasa J. Quinton; special friends Lana Matthews and Norma Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
