Annie Doloris Walker was born to Solomon and Mariah Shaw on March 9, 1933 in Austin, Texas. She was the youngest of four children, brother Aaron Shaw (Houston), brothers John Shaw (deceased), Charlie Shaw (deceased).

She professed Christ at an early age at the Good Street Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. She attended Pilot Knob Elementary School before moving to Houston for her primary and secondary school years. She gradauted from Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas. Upon moving back to Austin, she attended Huston-Tillotson College and ultimately became an LVN. She worked for Brackenridge Hospital for 32 years where she retired.

Annie married Frank James Walker on April 19, 1951. To this union one daughter was born, Frankie Doloris Walker. She raised one grandson, Roderick Walker and helped raise Michael Dean, Jr.

She united with Rock Quarry Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her death. While a member at Rock Quarry, she was the interim pianist, member of the sanctuary choir until her health failed. Although she was no longer able to sing in the choir, she faithfully paid her membership dues. She also served as the announcement clerk, a member of the Sunday School, and Mission I.

Annie enjoyed cooking for her famiy, especially jalapeno cornbread, chitterlings and peach cobbler. The family and friends always had an open invitation to Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and Charlie Shaw, granddaughter Tonia Dean and great grandson Antonio Purvis. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Frank; daughter Frankie; grandchildren Roderick Walker (Madelyn), Stephanie Keeton, Michael Dean, Jr. (Rubie); 15 grat grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
