Marilyn Louise Hopes Lee was born in Luling, Texas on August 17, 1954 to the union of L. C. Hardeman and Dorothy Delores Wade who were married in San Marcos, Texas. Two daughters were born to this union, Sandra Lee Hardeman (March 11, 1953) and Marilyn Louise Hardeman.

The truth was not just a part of Sister Marilyn Hopes Lee's life, it was her life. She attended the Springdale Congregation of Jehovah Witness. Since 1976, Sister Marilyn Hopes Lee has accepted Jehovah God as the one and only true God.

Sister Marilyn Lee enjoyed sharing her Kingdom hope with so many people. She loved her yellow roses. She enjoyed cooking for her husband and son and she loved her family and friends.

Sister Marilyn Lee passed away April 10, 2011 at Hospice Austin Christopher House in Austin, Texas

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Ethan Jefferey Lee; her sons Edraveion Hopes Lee, Cordele Anthony Hopes, Latharrel James Hopes; her daughters Christian Chemere Hopes and her husband Michael Wade, Demetria Ruth Tasby; her ex-husband James Hopes; grandchildren Zeontre Hopes Horton, Zerayvonn Hopes Horton, Christian Hopes Horton, Tristian Hopes Horton, Quontavia Hopes, Lil Cordele Hopes, Cormesha Hopes, Cordesa Hopes, Corleon Hopes, Carrahga Hopes, Ashton Roland, Natairreia Yett, Kenneth Pluett, Steven Sauls, Baby Lee Brown, Baby Christian Johnson, Doreion Tasby, Jr.; great grandchildren Siarriah and Serenity. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles too many to name. She loved them all to the end.
