Creava Catheryn Clarke Bray was born on March 25, 1923 in Dale, South Carolina to Walter Alston and Leola Vanessa Parker. Creava was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Theodore A Bray, an infant son and her brother, John Henry Clarke, Jr.

Creava began her walk at an early age. Creava met and married Theodore A. Bray. After marrying and moving to Austin, Texas, she joined the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Harold Branch. She was a loyal and devoted member of Junior Mission, Mission II, Deacon Wives and Senior Choir. She was a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Creava completed training as a licensed vocational nurse. She provided compassionate care to not only family and friends, but anyone that needed her help.

Creava was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She adopted and nurtured everyone she came in contact with and made them a part of her extended family.

Those left to celebrate he life and rejoice in her transition to eternal reward are her children, Bruce (Debra), Quincy (Peggy), and Ethel; two granddaughters, Catheryn and Laranjuia; three grandsons, LaBruce II, Bryan and Brandon and their mother Alene; and a host of other relatives and friends.

That a wonderful legacy of love, faith and hope to all whose lives she touched.
