Gerald Mark Thompson was born September 3rd, 1958. On December 29th, 2010, Gerald received his wings and went home to his savior. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Sgt Charles W. Thompson, Sr. and Bobbie Gordon Thompson; Grandparents; and brother Matthew L. Thompson.

Gerald accepted Christ at an early age and joined Simpson United Methodist Church. He also attended Zion Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Gerald was a faithful member of the Usher Board and the United Methodist Men at Simpson until God called him home.

Gerald graduated from S.F. Austin High School in 1977. Then he went on to Huston-Tillotson University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in 1981. At H.T. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Gerald is known by his employers as a hard working, and dedicated employee. He was employed by the U.S. Department of Treasury, and the Mary Lee Foundation for over 25 years.

Known for his sense of humor and of right now he'd be saying "Stop talking" and "What's to eat?"
