L. W. Washington

L. W. Washington was the fourth child of six born to Pearlie Mae Hill and Woddie Washington, Sr. in Lytton Springs, Texas. He accepted Jesus as his personal savior. He attended public school and continued his education at the Family Learning Center in Kyle, Texas.

He was united in marriage to faithful and beloved wife, Marian Harper Washington for 44 years. They had no children born to this union.

His memory will be cherished by his two sisters, Lola Mae Barrett (Walter) of Hyattsville, Maryland and Joanne Richardson of Austin, Texas; 17 nieces and nephews (decendant children of Lola Mae and Joanne.)

First cousins include Frank Harper, Alta Byrd, Lola Mae Maxwell, Lillie Roland, R. C. Wachington, Clara Pennington and many other relatives and friends from St. John Colony, Dale, Texas.

He worked at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Austin Independent School District until his health failed.

He was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder J. L. Foster. He served as Deacon on the Deacon Board, member of the New Hope Boyz Mens Chorus and the Mass choir.

He had a willing attitude of helpfulness and a keen sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
