Mrs. Clara Mae Fowler Williams was born on January 10, 1937 in Austin, Texas to the late Rev. S.G. Fowler and Brucey Kincheon Fowler.

She accepted Christ at a very early age at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church, Austin, Texas. She graduated from Old L. C. Anderson High School and continued her education and obtained her nursing certification in Washington, DC. She worked in the Health Care Profession and later returned to Austin, Texas.

After returning to Austin, Texas, Clara joined Saint James Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health failed. Clara worked at the Austin State School, Home Health Care, and the University of Texas Health Center as a Nurse Assistant where she retired.

Clara was a resourceful woman. Her joy was found through her cooking for and feeding anyone that was in her presence, and feeding them spiritually by providing words of wisdom. People were drawn to her because of her humble, gentle and sweet spirit. She was known to be very humorous, but you knew when she meant business. Clara peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2010 with her loving family and friends at her bedside.

Clara married Sidney Morris, Jr. in July 2005. Their five-year marriage was based on a strong faith in God, love of family, and service to others.

She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Morris, Jr.; one sister: Frances Fowler Carter of Houston, Texas; one brother: Enoch (Sharon) Fowler of Austin, Texas; special nieces and nephews: Anthony (Tammy) Dunn of Georgia, Karen Dunn of Michigan, Garrett (Kathi) Dunn of Virginia, Cheryl (Kevin) Dunn-Elam of Michigan, Brian (Chanel) Balque of Texas; great nieces and nephews: Randall and Lauren Carter, Kris and Toni Bailey, Teris and Tyler Dunn, Kaitlyn, Kerrington, and Kamden Dunn; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, five step-children; and a host of other relatives and friends
