Blanche Elizabeth Jackson Wright, affectionately known as Grammie, was born February 19, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts to Adelaide Jackson and Lewis Williams. On Monday, November 22, 2010s our beloved Blanche began her peaceful eternal rest.

Following her graduation from the Boston public school system, Blanche received her Operating Room Technician certificate from Dimock Techinical School. Blanche worked as an OR Tech at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston and Brackenridge Hospital in Austin until she retired in 1989.

Her love of arts and crafts led to her second career as a Department Manager at Michaels, where she worked until her retirement in July 2008. Blanche also enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, and spending time with family and friends.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, Adelaide jackand and Lewis Williams; sister, Adelaide Scott, brothers, Howard (Jack) Jackson and John (Johnny) Jackson and nephew Leon Thompson.

She is survived by husband Curtis Wright, Jr.; daughters, DeNay and H.D. Rhock, Denise Evans, Shirley Rosemond, and Cecilia Williams; grandchildren Michael and Rhonda Buchanan, Christopher Jackson and Felicia Garrett, Richard Coney, Chasity Rosemound, Charleston Jackson, CeAnna Smith, Donovan Smith; Great Grandchildren, Ray Gentry, Jr., Destinee Gentry, Jayden Michael Buchanan and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, loved ones and friends.

In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to A Life Celebration by Franklin, 510 South Main Street, Taylor, TX 76574. The family wishes to extend a heart-felt Thank You to the staff of Seton Hospital, Texas Oncology and Hospice of Austin.
