Robert O'Dean White, was born January 7, 1952 in Austin, Texas to Robert Lee (Baby Ray) and Estella Louise (Wright) White.

He accepted Christ at an early age. Robert attended Austin public schools graduating from Austin High School in 1970. He furthered his education at Prairie View A&M and Huston-Tillotson College. While there, he was given the nickname of "Fat Cat". Robert was joined in marriage with Cheryl Lynne Beck on July 3, 1976. To this union were born two children: Deitrek Le'Ron and Britney Ariel White.

He began working for Austin State Hospital in 1975. In June of 1976, he pursued a career with The Comptroller of Public Accounts. Robert retired from the Comptroller's Office after 29 years of service on April 30, 2004. After being at home a month, he returned to work June 1st, claiming he didn't like the "honey dos". With giving them another two years, he began working for Health and Human Services continuing his career with another state agency. Robert worked for the State of Texas for over 35 years.

Being an Austinite, Robert, was well known for his hats, laughter and overall good sense of humor. He dearly loved his family, friends, the Cowboys and the Longhorns. In his early years, Robert coached a church basketball team, little league football, as well as a women's softball team. He was a mentor for the youth. Robert was also a member of a group comprised of childhood friends, called "The Brother's Nine".

Robert was preceded in death by both his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 34 years, Cheryl Lynne White; a son, Deitrek Le'Ron (Nicole)White; a daughter, Britney Ariel White; 2 grandchildren, Loren and Kayla; a sister, Terri Jo White; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and an abundance of friends.
