Edward Milton "Bozie" Murry was born the youngest of seven on June 22, 1936 to Theodonia and Ardie Murry in Taylor, Texas. Because he was a kind and respectful young boy, he grew up having many friends both old and young and they gave him his nickname "Bozie".

He was educated in Taylor, Texas attending Blackshear-O.L. Price High School. He later received an Associates degree in Business from Austin Community College after returning from service in the military.

He professed his faith at an early age and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Taylor, Texas. He later joined Grant AME Worship Center under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Leo Griffin and worked where needed. He was an active and faithful member of the Usher Board until his health failed.

Edward enlisted in the Air Force and served honorably for 20 years both stateside and overseas. He received numerous honors, awards and medals. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked with the postal service as a letter carrier for 17 years. He was a great provider for his family, all of his days, making it possible for his wife to stay at home and care for their children.

Edward was married to his best friend and love, Addie Louise Wheeler for over 50 years, but knew her closer to 60 years. (They referred to each other as "Puff & Louise", during their courtship). To this union four daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his parents, Theodonia and Ardie Murry and five siblings, Willie, Henry Arthur, T-Ardie, Effie and Leila Mae.

He departed this life on November 11, 2010, after a lengthly illness. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Louise Murry; his daughters Jennifer Harvey and son-in-law John Harvey, Valerie Murry, Edith Murry, and Lisa Murry; his granddaughters, who were the light of his life, Bethany Harvey and Cydney-Addia Murry, "Gabbi"; one beloved sister Mildred Tucker; his brother-in-law Oscar Wheeler; his sisters-in-law, Earlene Freeman-Jones, Mildred Wheeler, and Erma G. Wheeler. He also leaves a special cousin, Alice Phoenix; his nieces and nephews, all of whom were each very special to him; other cousins and friends, including his lifelong friend, James Dickey, referred to as "Classmate", and his adopted family members, Barbara Allen, and Larry and Debra Dawn.
