William "Red" Robinson was born on November 18, 1928 to Elizabeth Robinson and Roger Mays. Both parents preceded him in death. He had a brother and two sisters to precede him in death, also.

William "Red" Robinson professed a hope in Christ at an early age under the pastorage of Rev. Black, at St. Marys Baptist Church, Pflugerville, Texas.

He attended school in Pflugerville and later moved to Austin and attended L. C. Anderson High School. He was later employed as a master plumber. William "Red" then established his own plumbing business, known as Robinson's Plumbing Company. He then tried his hand at another business owning and managing "The Four Winds Club" of Pflugerville, Texas and later owner and manager of Club 40, Austin, Texas.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Myrtle Robinson; daughters Novella City, Ruby McBride, Brenda Robinson, Marsha Robinson (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Ella Scott, Mae Williams; his sons, Roger Robinson, William Robinson, Jr., Lester Wayne Robinson (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Raymond Robinson, Cornelius Robinson; 33 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; five brothers, Dan Mays, Floyd Mays, Lloyd Mays, Boyd Mays, and R. H. Mays; three sisters Paralee Sanders, Vernetta Seamster and Edna Anderson; also a host of relatives and friends.
