Jewell Lee Fisher (Mu'Dear) was born to Novella Brown and Jack Lewis on July 28, 1934 in El Campo, Texas. She graduated valedictorian of E. A. Greer High School in El Campo, where she was also the band drum major and a star basketball player. Soon after high school, she married Calvin Norris Greely, Jr. (deceased) and to this union five children were born. Her second marriage was to Homer Calvin Fisher, and to this union one child was born.

Jewell accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age, first joining Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in El Campo. After moving to Austin, she became a member of the Greater Love Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Isaac Grant Jr., prior to joining Diakonos- A House of Servants.

Jewell attended college in Austin, Texas, obtaining a Nursing degree. She was a longtime employee of Austin State School and later for SPJST Nursing Home in Taylor, Texas, until her health began to fail.

Jewell was a committed Texas Longhorns and San Antonio Spurs fan. She was also active for many years with the Texas Temple 1254 Austin –IBPO of Elks of the World.

Jewell leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters: Atty. Beverly J. Greely of Houston, Texas, Annette M. Greely of Taylor, Texas and Ramona G. Wilson (Alfred) of Round Rock, Texas; her sons, Lawrence J. Greely of Taylor, Texas and Homer C. Fisher, Jr. of Austin, Texas; her sisters, Lulla Williams of Austin, Texas and Shirley Stevenson of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren; Marcus D. Greely, Alfred Wilson, III, Taneka Tompkins and Nia Fisher; seven great grandchildren; Special Nieces: Rossie Gage of Austin, Texas and Novella Roberson of El Campo, Texas; Special Daughters: Valerie Ceasar and Denice Prejean; Foster Brothers: Dr. Rufus Green, Sr. of Frisco, Texas, Wilton Wysinger of Dallas, Texas, William Hollins of Sunnyside, Texas and Bobby Green of San Antonio, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jacqueline R. Greely; sister, Mary Gene Noble; and brothers, Alvin (Sonny) Richie, Andrew (Big Joe) Richie and Lawrence (Bo) Williams.
