Hollis Hardeman was born November 13, 1944 to Acy Hardeman, Sr. and Ada Lane in Austin, Texas. He departed this life May 12, 2010 at Gracy Woods Nursing Home in Austin, Texas.

He attended schools in the Austin Independent School District. Hollis graduated from L. C. Anderson High School and later attended Job Corps.

He joined St. James Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. E. M. Franklin and later joined Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church where he was under the leadership of Elder Jimmy Miles and was baptized.

Hollis Hardeman was a regular visitor at The Way…The Truth…And…The Life Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Servant James M. Hernandez, Sr. until his health failed him.

Preceding him in death were his parents Mr. and Mr. Acy Hardeman, Sr.; wife Lula M. Hardeman; four brothers Acy Jr., Joseph, Johnny and Clarence. Hollis leaves to celebrate his home going four brothers Donald Ray, James, Charles and Harry Hardeman, all of Austin, Texas; one sister Addie Sneed (Elijah, Jr.); and a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
