Gregory Wayne Stovall, best known to his friends as "Stovie", "Yellow", "Repo Man", was a beautiful person inside and out. He was a caring and understanding person who was loved by all. He knew no strangers and loved people. One of the things that was well known about his personality was his sense of humor - a natural born camedian, able to strike up a joke or humorous comment about any and everything. This was a unique talent he possessed which made everyone want to be around him.

Wayne attended Lockhart High School where he received numerous athletic awards and honors. During his high school tenure, Wayne had extraordinary skills in his performance when it came to Basketball and Track and Field. One of the most memorable times is when he was dunking hoops left and right in a Basketball game over the shorter guys. His athletic abilities resulted in a Basketball scholarship to Panhandle State University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Physical Education.

Wayne had a group of friends who became special buddies and they formed a strong lifetime bond and supported each other in all aspects of each of their lives.

In his leisure, Wayne loved a good game of dominoes and talked a lot of smack to you, especially if he was winning. He also loved the outdoors (barbequing, fishing, lounging) anything that would draw him to spend time outdoors.

Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Stovall.

Wayne leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Willie and Dorothy Brite of Lockhart, Texas; daughters Destiny Marie Stovall and Karla Mae Stovall, Michacian C'bria Recio of Lockhart, Texas; special friend and companion, Marcy Abrego, Johnny (Junior), Julian, Monique; sisters Carolyn Elaine Moore (James) of Manor, Texas, Cherilyn Gayle Wadley (Charles) of Austin, Texas, Bette J. Stovall (Victor) of San Antonio, Texas; brothers A. C. "Bubba" Stovall (Charlotte) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jack Stovall of Lockhart, Texas, Willie Nathan Brite, Jr. of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law Charolet Fresch of Pflugerville, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
