Salem Robinson Sr. was born on January 10, 1923 in Travis County, Austin, Texas to the proud parents of Frank Robinson and Hattie Roberts-Robinson.

Salem enlisted into the U.S. Army in April of 1943 and was shipped to Northern France. He was recognized with the EAME Campaign Medal with 2 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal, and was discharged January 20, 1946 with an Honorable Discharge.

Salem and Odell Robinson were married September 13, 1952 and both of them became life-long members of the Mount Olive Baptist Church family, serving faithfully for 45 years until the Lord called him home.

Brother Salem Robinson Sr. leaves to mourn: One daughter, Joe Ann Kemp of Orlando, Florida; four sons, Nathaniel and wife Brenda Robinson of Houston, Texas, James Joseph Robinson of Austin, Texas, Donald Ray Robinson of Dallas, Texas, Salem Robinson Jr. and wife Patricia M. Robinson of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Darrell Kemp, Donald R. Robinson Jr., Aundrell Robinson, Shawn Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Salem Robinson III, and Nathan Robinson, eight great grandchildren, loving godchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
