Xavier Steven Collins, son of Antoinette Collins Smith and James Smith, was born on November 6, 1995. Xavier entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 9, 2010.

Xavier, an eigth grade student at Gus Garcia Middle School, was an academically well-focused student and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. His immediate ambition was to attend the LASA Program at Lyndon Baines Johnson High School for the 1010/1011 school year.

At Gus Garcia Middle School, Xavier was known as a very polite young man with a quiet disposition and a loving nature. His hobbies and interests were reading, especially chapter books, solving word puzzles, and listening to music.

Xavier began participating in the Neighborhood Longhorn Program in elementary school and continued to do so while at Garcia M.S. He received a variety of commendations for his academic achievement and positive behavior. Xavier had admirable interpersonal relationships with others, including borh students and staff members of Garcia Middle School.

Xavier was preceded in death by grandmothers Melva Jean Harper and Lullabye Collins and grandfathers Elroy Harper and Henry Collins, Jr.

Xavier leaves his memories to be cherished by his mother and father, Antoinette and James Collins, and his brothers Tremaine Collins and Sidney Webb. He will be greatly missed by aunt Erica Nash of Austin, Texas, aunt Henrietta Collins of San Antonio, Texas; great aunt Lezella Bryant of San Antonio, Texas; uncle Donnie Smith, uncle Freddie Leon Smith, uncle Allen Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
