Reginald "Reggie" Donnell Patridge, 50, transitioned from earth to heaven Tuesday, January 5, 2010 after a brief illness.

Born, November 5, 1959, Reginald was the eldest child of Ernest and Jerry Lynn Patridge. Reggie had a quiet and meek spirit; he was often seen but seldom heard. Reggie was a wonderful big brother to Regina, Ricky, Rhonda, Kim and Lisa.

Reggie was educated through the Austin Independent School District graduating from Lyndon Baines Johnson High School. Upon high school graduation, Reggie entered the Armed Services and served 13 years in the Army as a Staff Sergeant. Prior to being honorably discharged, he completed four Tours of Duty in Germany. Returning to Austin with a strong work ethic, Reggie went to work for The United States Postal Service and was admired by his superiors and co-workers as a hard worker, dedicated and committed employee. In the 13 years that he worked for the Postal Service, Reggie only took two vacations. He would donate numerous hours to fellow co-workers; and at the time of his death, had over 500 hours of un-used vacation time.

Spending his youth in Austin, Reggie united with Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. G. V. Clark. He was active in the Youth Department under the leadership of the late Sister Ella Mae Ellison and the late Sister Eunice Ridge servicing as a youth usher for a number of years. Upon returning to Austin, he reunited with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Reggie was joined in holy matrimony to Silvia Brown on April 23, 2001. They were blessed to add two little ones to their family; Elizabeth and Calvin. Reggie was a wonderful husband, father and provider for his family.

Our hearts were broken upon the sudden illness and passing of our beloved Reggie. Although he is no longer with us on earth we know we will see him again in heaven.

Reggie's memory will be cherished by his wife, Silvia, children, Elizabeth and Kalvin, step-children, Darius Jacoby Brown, Ebonee Hudson and Harold Cornell, Jr. His parents, Ernest and Jerry Lynn Patridge, siblings, Ricky Patridge of Cedar Hill, TX, Regina Kay Patridge and Kimberly Patridge and Timothy Poe of Austin, TX, Rhonda Lynn Patridge of Missouri City, TX, Lisa Michelle(Andre') Horton of Round Rock, TX and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
