Johnnie L. Jackson, Jr. of Kyle, Texas was born June 9, 1958 in Ballinger, Texas, to Eddie Mae and Johnnie Jackson, Sr.

Shortly after arriving at St. Davidís Hospital, he was called home to rest, he left us at 4:45 p.m. on November 24, 2009.

Johnnie attended school in Ballinger, where he was a noted football player and track star. Thereafter he joined the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged. Recently, he was accepted for membership in the American Legion.

Johnnie had a heart of gold and always put his family first. His passions for happiness included football, NASCAR Racing, track and field, dancing, cooking and hosting family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eddie Mae Jackson.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Jacqueline Jackson; his father, Johnnie Jackson, Sr.; two sisters, Sherrie Boffman-Zamora of Kyle, Texas, Mary Rose of San Angelo, Texas and a brother, Jerry Jackson of Winters, Texas; one brother-in-law, Daniel Zamora of Kyle, Texas and one sister-in-law, Trisha Jackson of Winters, Texas; two sons, Damion and Phelan Perryman of Austin, Texas; four step children, Clarice Stewart of Austin, Texas, Cynthia, Roberta, and James Moore of Wilmington, Delaware; one aunt, Delphine Kennon of San Angelo, Texas, a special friend, Martha Crawford. Johnnie had four nieces, Clarisse Boffman-Zamora, Nia Zamora, La Tasha Rose, La Toya Clay and one nephew, Eric Rose. Four grand children and a host of cousins and loved ones.
