Mr. Benjamin F. Harrold was born October 28, 1947 to the late Mrs. Emma Mae Lee in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Reverend Joe Harrold, Alfred Lee, Charles Lee, and Robert Lott; one stepson, Walter R. Henry.

Ben accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He attended Old Anderson High School in Austin, Texas.

Ben was employed by the City of Austin Solid Waste Department for 25 years.

Ben was loved by many people for his outgoing personality. He loved talking about his greyhound dogs and joking around with his step children.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years, Mattie King Harrold; one sister, Marjorie Stevens of Austin, Texas; two cousins, Mrs. Betty Kincheon and Mrs. Imogene Kincheon, both of Austin, Texas; three stepdaughters, Beverly Henry (Larry), Lisa Davis (Tony), and Nicole Gilliam (Ron), all of Austin, Texas; two stepsons, Nathaniel Liggins, Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana and Eric Henry of Austin, Texas; special friends Johnny and Roy Joyner and George Hearns of Austin, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; two grandsons he raised as his own, Anthony and Edward Davis, all of Austin, Texas; and a host of family and friends.
