Cynthia A. Edwards-Moore was born July 6, 1943 in St. Louis Missouri to Theodore E. and Mary Alice Edwards Sr. She departed this life on Friday evening, October 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Theodore and Mary Alice Edwards Sr.

Cynthia attended and graduated from Visitation Catholic Elementary and DeAndreis High School in St. Louis Missouri. Her education continued at Arkansas AM&N, Pine Bluff, AR, and University of Missouri, St. Louis, Mo.

Cynthia was united in holy matrimony to Ollen Moore in September 1996. To this union there were no children born.

Cynthia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She became a member of the St. James Missionary Baptist and was baptized by the late Rev. E. M. Franklin on June 4, 1989 where she remained an active and faithful member for over 20 years.

Cynthia was always willing to help out wherever she could. She volunteered for Vacation Bible School and was a mentor to the young women of the church. Cynthia was an active and faithful member of the St. James Music Ministry Department. She served as one of the call and email captains. She served faithfully as a caller, captain and prayer warrior of the St. James New Comers Ministry.

Cynthia enjoyed talking, traveling, eating and shopping to no return. Her love and passion was her puppy Ashton, grandchildren, godchildren, best friends and the St. James Music Ministry.

Cynthia had a strong compassion for learning the Word of God. She attended faithfully, even in the midst of her failing health, the St. James Center for Biblical Studies Institute Class: Survey of the Bible-Part 2, Dr. B. W. McClendon, Instructor.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory a faithful husband Ollen, Stepson Christopher Moore of Andrews AFB, Maryland; a daughter M. Darlene Moore of Wichita, Kansas; one brother Theodore E. Edwards Jr. (DeeAnn) of Las Vegas, Nevada; one niece Stephanie Edwards-Ray of St. Louis, MO.; mother-in-law Janice B. Moore; four grandchildren DéMario Newton, Terry, Terron & Terry Moore of Wichita, Kansas; two great grand-children; godchildren Tim and Chloé Whalon (Christine, Brandon & Kimberly); Alton, Johnathon & Rebecca Mays; sisters Sharon Mays, Brenda Herndon (Edward), Letha Lewis (Johnny), Mary Linnen (Joseph); two sisters-in-Law Flora LeDay, Alta Hines (William); two brothers-in-law Douglas Moore, Larry Moore (Paris) and a host of nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
