Katrina P. Taylor

On February 16, 1958, Katrina Pratt Taylor was the fifth child born to George Pratt, Sr. (deceased) and Lillie Eloise Pratt (deceased) in Delray Beach, Florida.

She received her childhood education at Spady Elementary, Carver Junior High, and Atlantic High School. After graduation from high school she attended Huston-Tillotson College (presently known as Huston-Tillotson University), where she fulfilled her Bachelor of Arts degree on the 3rd of May 1981.

Katrina taught school in the Travis County School District for a concise period of time; then she became employed with the Internal Revenue as a Computer Analysis Technician for 27 years in Austin, Texas. She departed this life Friday, September 18, 2009 at 0140 hours at St. David's Hospital along the side of her daughter, son and close friend Vella Medlock.

Katrina accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior on September 3, 2009 in her hospital room (led by Minister Freddie Futcher).

She was very competitive in sports (playing on an co-ed fast pitch softball team, running marathons and playing on the women's kick ball team) and loved jogging, walking, softball, roller skating and cleaning. Katrina was a "neat freak".

Cherishing her memories are her loving children, Staff Sergeant Radneisha Larell Hurt (SSG Chad Nicholas, son-in-law, both serving in the U.S. Army) and Travis Jamal Futcher (currently attending the University of Houston, majoring in Civil Engineering), along with her significant equal Ernest Walton Clark.

Other family members cherishing her memories: one sister Oteria L. Pratt; six brothers George Pratt, Jr., Percyell L. Pratt, Louis A. Pratt, Samuel Pratt, Eric E. Pratt, and Mark B. Pratt; one uncle John T. Bellamy; one aunt Pearlene Bellamy; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, several acquaintances and a small amount of friends.
