Brady Lee Howard was born to Brady Howard and Genetta Roberts in Pleasant Valley, Texas on October 4, 1920. He was united in holy matrimony to Fannie Lou Kennard on April 30, 1938 and recently celebrated his Seventy-First (71st) Anniversary. To this union eleven children were born.

Brady was a faithful deacon at St. Edwards Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Admiral Dewitty. He later joined St. Matthews Baptist Church under pastoral leadership of his brother Rev. A. G. Howard. He was a faithful member.

Brady, mostly known as B.L., was well known in the Austin and surrounding areas for his Barbecue businesses providing service for over 35 years. He truly enjoyed his work and made many, many friends. He really loved being around his grandchildren, they seem to always make his day. (You could tell by the way he would go on and on about them.)

His passion was Gospel music and he was a dedicated listener to Gospel 1060 AM and KAZI 88.7 FM. As a young man he was a member of the gospel group called The Willing Workers.

His parents, two sisters and five children preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing a loving wife of 71years, Fannie Lou Howard; four sons, Don Howard (Doris), Roy Howard, Nathaniel Howard (Gladys) and Milton Howard (Nancy) of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Gloria Howard Stewart and Karen Howard; two brother, Oscar Howard and A.G. Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to mention.
