Rozanna Marie Broussard was the first child born to her parents Robert Ike and Vera Mae Lee Broussard on March 10, 1957 in Beaumont, Texas. She was known as Roz, momma, and granny. She attended Beaumont public schools and later graduated from Austin High School in May 1975.

As a young child, Rozanna was baptized at St. Luke Baptist Church in Beaumont under the pastoral leadership of her late maternal grandfather, Rev. Dr. Jim H. Lee. She worked with the Sunday School, Baptist Training Union, Youth Choir and Youth Department. Upon moving to Austin with her family she united with New Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. A. R. Evans where she was a choir member and participated in Baptist Training Union.

Rozanna loved children and cared for them in her home. She also enjoyed cooking and prepared many tasty creole recipes her family and friends enjoyed. Her favorite color was red, and there were always many red items in her home décor and wardrobe.

On the morning of August 1, 2009 at 10:55 a.m. Rozanna peacefully entered eternal rest after a long illness.

Rozanna was preceded in death by her mother Vera, father Robert, brother Robert, Jr., maternal grandparents, Rev. Dr. J.H. and Elnora Lee, and paternal grandfather Johnny Williams, Sr.

Her survivors include: three sons, Robert LaRon of Austin, Texas, Brandon Keith of Halletsville, Texas and Aaron of Austin, Texas; granddaughter Tomorrow; grandson Tyrie; sister Vanessa Broussard; paternal grandmother Essie Williams; six aunts; five uncles, numerous cousins; other relatives and friends.
