Melanie Linnet Hubbard was designed and delivered to Bobbie and Josie Hubbard on February 16, 1972.

Melanie graduated from McCallum High School at Austin, Texas. Over the years she was employed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, American Cancer Society and worked for the Texas Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas until she became ill and was no longer able to work.

She believed in God and had her own special relationship with him. She was recently baptized at the Methodist Hospital at San Antonio, Texas. Melanie touched everyone she came in contact with in a special way and she will be missed tremendously. She loved music, clothes and being pretty, but most of all she loved the three most important men in her life, her two sons and her nephew, J.J.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Norvella Gonzales Haywood, her paternal grandmother, Eliza Ann Hubbard and her paternal grandfather, John Henry Hubbard.

She leaves to love her forever and to cherish her precious memories, her two beautiful sons, Dametri Hubbard and Diondre Hubbard-Rivers; her mother, Josie Haywood Hubbard; father, Bobbie Gene Hubbard; only sister, Barbara Ann Hubbard-Wyatt (Freddie); brother, David Glen Hubbard (Francis); brother, Christopher Wayne Hubbard; special nephew and best friend, Justin Ryan Johnson; nephew Benjamin Hubbard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
