Lottie Ruth Green, "Mama Lottie", was the only child born to Clara and Eddie Wilson on August 9, 1930 in Austin, Texas.

She attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Austin, Texas and had a special love for the teachers and nuns there.

She was preceded in death by her mother Clara Reed, father Eddie Wilson, grandmother Savannah Horton, aunt Thelma Hill and special cousin Clyde Hill.

In 1960 she married Melvin Green of Buffalo, New York who preceded her in death in 1998.

She was Mama Lottie to everyone who knew her and was the neighborhood mom. If anyone needed a place to stay or a good meal, they knew that Mama Lottie would be there and give you her last if she had it.

Mama Lottie was a very strong woman and even with all of her illnesses, she would still smile, laugh and joke.

She passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at St. David's Hospital surrounded by family.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Clarice Carr (William) of Austin, Texas, Carolyn Smith (Bryan) of Austin, Texas and Connie Franklin (Craig) of Livingston, Texas; two sons, Lonnie Green and Davie Wilson; eleven grandchildren Rosalind, Keith, Maurice, Latasha, Lakeisha, Lamont, Daniel, Marcus, Savannah, Anthony and Elijah; ten great grandchildren; special aunt Jeroma Louise Ellison of Austin and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
