Sister Ruby Lee Tribue was born on June 26, 1935 in Kimbro, Texas. At an early age she confessed her belief in Christ at Foxy Grove Baptist Church in Kimbro, Texas. Later she moved to Austin, Texas and became a faithful member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Usher board for 52 years. She was united in marriage with Lorenza D. Tribue on June 16, 1961. She worked at the State Hospital and retired after 24 years of service.

Sister Tribue was called home on April 23, 2009. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nettie B. Thompson; father, Brooks Higgins; stepfather, Mack Thompson; two sons, Curtis Roy Grant and Darrell W. Tribue; brother, Will Allie Higgins; and sister, Juanita Collier.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Lorenza D. Tribue; three daughters, Lois J. Moore (Van Moore), Julia Ann Ross, Peggy Joyce Hightower (Elder Bobby Hightower); step-daughter, Victoria L. Blakey (Dan Blakey); two daughters-in-law, Denise Freeman and Silvia Grant; two sons, Ray Curtis Grant, Steven Tribue and step-son, Lorenza F. Tribue; two brothers, Lester Thompson (Mary Thompson) and Elder Prince Higgins (Mary Higgins); three sisters. Annabelle Allen, Clara Coleman and Pearly Ledet (Robert Ledet); twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and many family members and friends.
