Charlotte Lynn Wright-Newton was born October 15, 1962 in Austin, Texas to Ralph and Hosea Wright.

She attended Maplewood Elementary School, McCallum High School and continued her education at Temple Jr. College in Temple, Texas where she received her degree in Nursing in 1989.

Charlotte was baptized at an early age when she accepted Christ into her life. She attended Mt. Calvary Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Daniel J. Thomas until her health began to decline.

She loved her job and co-workers, especially her clients and patients at Oak Crest and Govalle Nursing Home. Her greatest joy was her job at Seton and Brackenridge Hospital.

She enjoyed her home and decorating it was her pride and joy.

On May 30, 2003, she was married to Billy Newton. Together they owned and operated In God's Care Funeral Home in Giddings, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her four grandparents and two children.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her memories her loving father and mother Ralph and Hosea Wright; husband Billy Newton; three daughters, Tyra Powell, Meagan and Kasey Overton, all of Austin, Texas; four step-daughters, Akita Jones (George), Koshima Newton (Ron) of Giddings, Texas, Desiree Duval (Greg) of Austin, Texas and Tamara Newton (Michael) of Houston, Texas; five brothers, Ralph, Jr. (Bobby) of Austin, Texas, Marvin of Utah, Byron (Jamie) of Kyle, Texas, Gary (Sonia) and Palmer (Leilanie) both of Austin, Texas. Charlotte also leaves to cherish her memory five special friends, Officer Louis Saucedo, Deputy Derrick Williams of Austin, Texas, Charles Bill Kriegle, Rudy Myers and Jeff Keashey, all of Giddings, Texas; special godmother Michelle Madison; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
