To the Holy union were born seven gratefully blessed children, twenty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren, beginning with Alinda Jordan (Leon) of Round Rock, Texas and sons Roderick and Reginald; Lovern Grant (Royce, Sr.) of Elgin, Texas, daughter Shemeka and sons Royce, Jr. and Kevin; Andrew Jr., (Me lee) of Hutton, Texas, sons Andrew III and Ara; Yvonne King of Houston, Texas, daughters Valencia and Breighl; Alene Lawhorne (John II) of Pflugerville, Texas, daughters Tiffany, Cheyenne, Cierra and son John III; Shelia King Harper of Austin, Texas and sons John Michael, James Matthew and Jonathan Maxwell, Jr. (deceased); Angelia Bernett (Alvin, Jr.) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughters Tye, Khadijah, Jameelah, Siddeqah, Haleema, Chanae and sons Malachai, Aaqib, Alvin III and Michael.

Sister King kept her family covered in Christ by joining Pecan Springs Baptist Church under the late Reverend Cecil Holiday and later transferred her membership to Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church initially under the late and beloved Pastor L. M. Roberts and finally under the blessed coverage of Pastor Ricky Williams. She was a loving wife and mother and remained active, devoted, and faithful until God called His angel home for a special project on March 11, 2009.

Sister King LOVED the Lord and never went a day with acknowledging his AWESOME POWER. She loved her family, her church family, and friend and constantly covered them in prayer. She always started her prayer with Dear Heavenly and Most Gracious Father we give you thanks . . .
