Dudley Campbell Clark, III

Dudley Campbell Clark, III was born on September 20, 1955 in New Burgh, New York to Dudley Campbell Clark, Jr. and Norma West Clark.

Dudley attended a portion of his elementary schooling in Japan and furthered his education in Austin, Texas where he attended Blackshear, Kealing and a number of High Schools. Dudley ran track and played basketball.

After High School, Dudley decided that he wanted to serve his country as his father did. He enlisted in the u. S. Army for a short time and received an Honorable Discharge.

Dudley lived most of his young adult life in the Los Angeles, California area. Dudley was a builder and worked on various construction jobs. He traveled to many cities and states building "Olive Garden Restaurants" until he had an "almost" fatal accident. He then returned to Austin in July of 1991. Later he accepted a job as a carpenter, building cabinets for new and remolded homes. Dudley worked until his health failed.

Dudley loved setting up and decorating fish aquariums and attending to the fish, but building and beautifying things was what he enjoyed most. He was very smart and loved people. He was very loquacious and he loved making people laugh. He had many friends and spent a lot of time socializing and enjoying life.

Dudley accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Greater Works Baptist Church. He was always willing to assist with the yard work and whatever Pastor would ask of him.

Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley Campbell Clark, Jr. and Norma West Clark.

Dudley leaves to cherish his many memories two sons, Christopher Cavanaugh, Sr. and William Porter; two sisters, Sandra "Freddie" Thomas Clark and Tina "Ms. Lynn" Clark; three grandchildren, Christopher Cavanaugh, Jr., Terell Cavanaugh and Treshior Cavanaugh; and a host of relatives and friends.
