James Kent Miles of Austin Texas, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 10, 2017. He was born on December 23, 1943 to the late Rev. Jimmy Miles and Maude Miles. He was the second of seven children. He was baptized at an early age at Parks Springs Baptist Church in Manor, Texas.

He grew up in Austin and attended Austin public schools. He served in the Army from June 1965 through May 1967 as an Airborne Paratrooper in the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he was employed with IBM of Austin, the City of Ft Worth, and Self -Employed as a Carpenter for many years.

He married Dorothy Richards and to this union they were blessed with two daughters.

James was always self-aware and boy could he talk! From a young age he talked enough for himself and his brother. He served as a self-appointed interpreter for his big brother Floyd thus earning him the nickname "Squeaky". He was kind, charismatic, fun and funny! Squeaky was down to earth, a simple man. "A Simple person is usually of the highest intellect, great character, experienced, and wise. A simple person has a heart of gold and loves nature, their friends and family". It's the simple things in life that they enjoy like laughter and a game of dominos. Squeaky was the epitome of a "simple man. He never met a stranger! He was truly loved and will be deeply missed!

He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents and his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters: Charlotte Clune of Aliso Viejo, CA. and Tricia Miles Stark of Mari Copa, AZ. and five grandchildren. His six siblings Floyd Miles(Lois) of Temple, TX; Anthony Miles(Beverly) of Watauga, TX; Margie Miles, Shirley Miles-Wren, Charles Miles(Shironne), and Tommy Miles Sr. all of Austin, TX. and Three Aunts Georgia Fletcher, Mary Spence, and Lucy Swain all of Austin, TX. And a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
