Faye Dell James Angle, daughter of the late Daniel Louis James and Mattie Bell Medlock James was born November 20, 1926 in Mexia, TX. She answered God's call on April 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel Angle; son Elliott Angle and brothers Robert James and Daniel T. James.

Faye was in active service to God, her community and her family. During her young life, she sang in the choirs of Simpson United Methodist Church and Samuel Huston College in Austin, TX. She was known for the beautiful harmony her alto voice brought to the services and performances. After moving to Detroit she joined Scott United Methodist Church.

Faye graduated from the original L.C. Anderson High School in 1943. In 1948 she graduated from Samuel Huston College with a degree in Education. Her first assignment was an
elementary teacher in Lufkin, TX. During the summer Faye traveled with her uncle, Dr. Timothy B. Echols and other young adults in the West Texas Conference to states in the South to organize youth institutes in the Central Jurisdiction of the Methodist church.

In 1952 Faye moved to Detroit, Michigan where she met and later married Daniel Angle. To their union two children were born, Eleanor and Elliott.

Faye was employed by the State of Michigan as a Social Worker where she worked for almost 40 years. Her hobbies included baking, arts & crafts, gardening and fishing. Later in life she enjoyed scrapbooking, collecting figurines, visiting casinos and taking ocean cruises to Hawaii, Alaska, Spain and Italy. She was a member of the Joliette's Social Club in Detroit for many years.

She leaves to cherish her life; daughter Eleanor Rodgers; granddaughter Donye Curry (Chris) of Kyle, TX; grandsons Marcel Dinkins-Angle and David Angle of Detroit, MI; great grandsons Courteney and Chase of Kyle, TX and Marcel Jr. and Marcus of Detroit, MI; sisters Thelma Madison of Georgetown, TX and Mae F. James of Austin, TX; sister-in-laws Mary Payne (Ulysses) of River Rouge, MI and Betty James of Austin, TX; niece Kimberly Brown of Houston,
TX; nephew Keith Madison (Nancy) of Pflugerville, TX; great niece Keiarra; great nephews, Andre and Christian and a host of loving relatives and friends.
