Margie Dell Jordan Harrison was born on May 28, 1927 in Austin, TX. She was the youngest of four children born to Albert and Mackie Lee Jordan.

Margie graduated from L.C. Anderson High School and received her Associates Degree in Child Development.

Margie confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at any early age. She lived and breathed St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Her work began as a choir member and Mission II and later developed into an usher. For over thirty years, Margie worked alongside Birdie Adams and Annie Raye Franklin as a church clerk. Buried in the safe keeping of her home, Margie took pride in keeping official records of every baptism that took place. Whenever there was a question, the first and only person to call was Margie. She could tell you the time of the baptism, date, age and any other information that was needed. She was dedicated to St. James and loved her calling.

Outside of the church, she was involved in Willing Workers, Alpha Kappa Sigma Philos and several other clubs. Margie marched to the beat of her own drum serving St. Joseph's Grand Lodge as an Eastern Star, A Lily of the Valley Chapter #47, LM Hall Port of Amaranth, Daughter of Saints and Syria Court #1.

In 1960, Margie met Charles Harrison. From that union, two children were born.

Margie's greatest achievement began in 1982 when she became a grandmother. To every grandchild, she was Nanny. To her grandchildren, she was what they called home. Nanny smothered them in hugs and kisses, was loyal, a fighter when they needed defending, a motivational shoulder, a safe haven and kept every secret.

She loved gardening, sewing, soap operas, western television shows, and painting ceramics.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mackie Lee Jordan; eldest daughter Mackie Ann Harrison; siblings, Emma Lee Spicer, Willie Maureen Jordan and her one and only brother Albert Jordan Jr.

Margie leaves to cherish her husband, Charles Harrison; her only living daughter, Ardelia Harrison-Grant (Derrick) of Austin, TX; three sons, Charles Ross of Georgetown, TX, Cornell Harrison (Tina) of Manor, TX and Charles Davis Sr. of Austin, TX. Seven grandchildren, LeDaniel Harrison, Tashon Scott, Mazik Harrison, Divine Grant, Charles Davis Jr., Tamara Scott, LaToya Scott, Derrick Grant Jr. (Marqueta), and Daryon Grant. Eleven great grandchildren; LeDaniel Jr., Mazik Jr., Maziah, Markeez, Malayzia, Mazara, Mazaylee, Mazaylan, Madizyn, Mesziah and Majezty. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
