Ruthie Mildred (Queen) Williams

Ruthie Mildred Williams was the only daughter born to Mary O. Harmon and Johnny Williams in Belton, Texas on October 19, 1930.

Ruthie grew up in Austin, Texas and attended school here. Ruthie professed her hope in Christ at an early age under Rev. S. L. Davis at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Ruthie, better known by her family as "Queen" was employed at the State Hospital for 24 years of service as an L.V.N. Nurse.

Ruthie was united in marriage to Arthur Davis and to this union one son was born, Larry Davis. Ruthie later married Emery Y. Williams and to this union four children were born, Deborah, Monica, Youl and Paul.

"Our Queen" was a lovely, down to earth, caring, nice, compassionate person who touched anyone's heart that she came in contact with.

Ruthie entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Emery Youl Williams, Jr., sisters Elnora Willrich and Carrie L. Smith.

Williams (Ray); brother Raymond D. Allen; twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren, one great grandchild; one niece Lisa Allen; other relatives and friends.
