Douglas Alexander, was born on June 30, 1959 in the town of Shirley, Massachusetts to Henry and Dorothy Alexander. He graduated in 1978 from Sidney Lanier High School. He continued his education at Jarvis Christen College.

He was united in holy matrimony to his wife Roberta Haynes on December 15, 1990. To this union they were blessed with one son, Douglas Alexander II (DJ). After 35 years of dedicated service, Douglas recently retired from Freescale.

At an early age Douglas gave his life to Christ and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend O.T. Arnold. Douglas later united with Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Douglas's life was filled with family and friends. He always had an infectious smile that lit up any room. Everyone that knew Douglas grew to love his genuine spirit and big heart. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and loved playing Dominos.

Douglas is preceded in death by his father Henry Alexander.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife Roberta Alexander, son, Douglas Alexander II (DJ), mother, Dorothy Alexander, sister, Patricia Ebron (Michael), brother, Anthony Alexander (Amelia). His Godchildren Desmond Smith, Cyanna Owens, Courtney Ketebu, Julian and Madyson Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Service entrusted to Dr. Barry J. W. Franklin and A Life Celebration by Franklin, Taylor, Texas
