JUANITA JANE WILLIAMS was born on June 5, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Dorothy Jones and Artis Latson. She was a loving wife, Sister, Mother, and Grandmother.

At an early age, Juanita accepted Christ and was baptized at Evergreen Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. Juanita attended Peabody High, where she played basketball and met Willie Lee Williams. After a few years of dating, they got married on Christmas Day, 1971. They moved their family from Alexandria, Louisiana to Houston, Texas, then to Austin, Texas. In Austin, she began working as a custodian in Austin ISD, for nearly 20 years at Fulmore Jr. High, and later Crockett High. Later, she worked as a cook at Sierra Nursing Center, and as an aide at Johnson Nursing Home.

In 2005, Juanita joined the Zion Rest Church family were she served faithfully, as a dedicated member of the Sanctuary choir, and Women's Missionary Auxiliary, until her health became challenged.

On Sunday, May 8, 2016, Juanita Williams, departed this life. She was preceded in death by both her parents; and four brothers: Bobby Thomas, Henry Thomas Jr., Ronnie Latson, Melvin Thomas; one son, Willie Williams Jr.

Juanita now leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Willie Williams; one sister, Maxine Johnson; two sisters-in-law: Betty Mae Wheeler-Thomas, Willie Ruth Latson; two daughters: Rhonda Williams, Engried Glasco (Tyrone); two sons: Jerry Williams, John Williams; seven grandsons: Vincent Jennings Jr, Tyler Williams, Xavier Jennings, Cameron Williams, Brandon Jennings, Bobby Williams, Tavrik Williams; two granddaughters: Ebony Jennings, Jhadin Williams, Jalyse Williams; childhood friend: Shirley Cleveland; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
