Frederick "Fred" Winzell Stafford was born June 28, 1982 in Austin, Texas to Winzell Stafford and Marsha Jones Johnson.

Fred accepted Christ and was baptized at a very young age at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church under the pastoralship of Rev. N. W. Bacon, Jr. In recent years, Fred attended church at First Baptist Church under the pastoralship of Rev. McGee, with his mother, brother and sister.

His educational training was in the Austin Public Schools. He attended Sims Elementary, Pearce Middle School and received his diploma from Johnston High School.

Fred was a special person, a gentle soul. He was an angel in disguise; loved to make people laugh and always made people smile. Fred's pride and joy was his PlayStation 3 and his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He loved cartoons, chicken, gizzards, and Coca-cola. He preferred to be around his family, especially his nieces. He touched so many lives, from fellow special education classmates, nurses and doctors that cared for him to the teachers and therapists that did whatever they could to heal him. He had the opportunity to brighten people's outlook on life and always did it with a smile. Fred loved life in general. He never complained or asked why . . . he just kept being thankful for seeing each and every day. Fred is with his true father, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that alone makes us happy that the suffering is over.

Fred was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Lorenzo Jones. Fred is survived by his beloved family, his mother, Marshal Jones Johnson (Milton); his father, Winzell Stafford; his grandmother, Frankie Brown; his sisters, Ashley miller (Austin) and Kabricia Jones and Kitty Stafford; his brother, Tyrone Stafford, Jr.; his nieces, Asjha Arnold, Alexandria Collins, Treazure Stafford and TyLynn Stafford; his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
