Ella Mae Reed Collins was born July 17, 1945 in Round Rock, Texas to Robert Reed Sr. and Mary Jane Reed.

Ella attended several schools within the Austin Independent School District and graduated from old L.C. Anderson High School. In 1963 she married Alfred Webb Sr. and from that union were five children. In 1978 Ella married Thomas Collins Jr. and from that union there were no children. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age, serving The Lord in the Austin and Lockhart area.

Ella attended Medical School for Nursing and worked for several years with AISD Transportation, 3M, Maggie Johnson Nursing Center until her health failed and she was no longer able to do so.

Ella was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was someone who never met a stranger. She had a huge heart and she opened her heart and home to many children who were not her own. She was very loved and everyone knew her as "Mama".

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Husband- Thomas Collins Jr.; three sons, Alfred Webb Jr. (Kim) of Portland, Oregon, Albert Webb and Jeff Webb (Jennifer) both of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Ellen Walsh (Charles) of Austin, Texas and Felicia Clay (Cardell) of Pflugerville, Texas; one stepson, Thomas Collins III; four brothers, Leon (Freida), Cecil (Annas), Ray and Raymond Reed, all of Austin, Texas. 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, three sisters, Louise Stewart, Margie Bonner, and Izetta Reed; six
brothers, Willie, Walter, Lonzo, Robert , Freddie and Bobby O'Neal Reed; one great-grandchild A' yanna Webb.
