Barbara Jean Lee Burdett was born to James Lee and Seawiller (Richards) Lee on February 18, 1937 in Austin, Texas.

Mrs. Barbara Burdett attended school in Austin, Texas and finished her education in California. She worked at the The Commodore Perry Hotel, Driscoll Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel, as a chef's assistant. Mrs. Burdett retired from Travis State School as a supervisor and afterwards became self-employed working in the healthcare services for the elderly. Mrs. Burdett enjoyed her family, cooking and traveling out of town to play bingo.

She was introduced to Christ at an early age and was a member @ Willie Chapel Baptist Church @ 1906 Chestnut Ave, Austin, Texas 78722.

Mrs. Barbara Burdett met her soul mate and the love of her life Fernando Lee Burdett, Sr. and they were united in matrimony and were married until Fernando Lee Burdett, Sr. was called home to glory. Through that union, was born six beautiful sons.

Mrs. Burdett was preceded in death by her grandparents James and Lizzie Lee, parents James and Seawiller Lee, Baby Lou Lee (sister), Ruby May Patton (sister), Arthur Lee (brother), Lee Lewis Burdett (son), and Fernando Lee Burdett Sr. (husband), Devin Burdett (great - grandson).

She leaves to cherish her memories a special sister Alice Faye Mays (Leonard Mays) of San Antonio, Texas, six extraordinary sons Fernando Lee (Uncle Pill) Burdett Jr., Anthony Wayne (Uncle Tony) Burdett (Patricia Burdett), Timothy (Uncle Timmy)Burdett, Kennerd Eugene (Uncle Kenneth) Burdett, Michael Ray(Uncle Mike) Burdett , and Frederick (Uncle Fred) Burdett. She was blessed to have twelve grand-children, eighteen great – grandchildren, and three great - great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.

Although we will miss her we rejoice in knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
