Alberta White Millett was born on October 11, 1945 in Alice, Texas to Mr. Fred White and Edna K. Williams. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother, Marshall "Buddy" White and sisters, Lucy Collins and Mary Lee White.

Alberta joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church at the age of 6 years old. She was the oldest female member of St James. She served as a faithful doorkeeper on the usher board for many years and sang in the Sanctuary Choir under the leadership of the late Sister Darlene Hicks. She attended and graduated from the old L. C. Anderson High School and served as a member of the L. C. Anderson marching Jacket.

Alberta attended Central Texas Beauty College and received her degree in Cosmetology. She later attended Austin Community College. Alberta spoke two different languages fluently (Spanish and German).

She later moved to San Antonio and while there she attended Plazeo Del Rio cooking school. Whereby; she received a degree in cooking. Cooking was certainly a passion of Alberta with so many specialties such as: Cactus Salad; Potato Chip Cookies; Red Beans and Corn Bread; Greens; just to name a few.

Alberta loved sports and played the game of sports. She was a volleyball and softball player. She played on the Blue Monday Dart Bowling League. She later did television commercials in Austin, Texas and featured in Paramount Studio motion pictures. Alberta was multi-talented and gifted with many God given talents.

Alberta was a loving mother, aunt and friend. She adopted and nurtured everyone she came in contact with and made them a part of her extended family. The love of her life was her sons and nephew. She also loved her best friends Diane, Ethel, Carolyn, Niecey and Rose. But, she held a special place in her heart for her cousin Stella Roland and her family.

Those left to celebrate her life and rejoice in her transition to eternal reward are her children Alonzo White; Kiki Millett and Lonnie Gooden; special friend Milton Hooper; nephews David Wayne Munford and Marcel White; great niece Miranda Munford; special friends Diane, Ethel, Carolyn, Stella, Niecey and Rose; sisters-in-law, Frankie Lee, Alice Price, Roberta Craig, her extended children too numerous to name and a host of relatives and friends.
What a wonderful legacy of love, faith and hope to all whose lives she touched.

Services entrusted to A Life Celebration by Franklin, Taylor, Texas.
