Mars. Alma L. Mayfield Bell was born November 8, 1929 to proud parents Gladys hale and Q. C. "Crip" Bunton from Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Bell, her parents, Gladys Hale and Q. C. "Crip" Bunton, her brothers Leroy Hale, Sr. and Al "Jabbie" Dixon, sisters Margie Quick and Aunt Bertha Sneed who has three children and numerous grandchildren.

Mrs. Bell was a member of the University Avenue Church of Christ since the 1960's. She tended the children in the Nursery before she joined the church.

She was a devoted mother and very strong, determined woman. Mrs. Bell, a mother of two children, Hugh Mayfield and Jennifer Mayfield Bell, married a very humble and wonderful man named Leroy Bell.

Mrs. Bell was known as a hard working woman who loved to travel. She was always on the move. If she wasn't on the road, she was working in her garden or keeping her home in order. She taught her family to do their best at whatever they decided to do in life and to reach further than what we say! She said, "If you can see it and if you can taste it, then you can reach it!" As long as they has faith in The Lord, He would lead them!

Mrs. Bell is survived by her son, Hugh Mayfield, daughter Jennifer Mayfield Bell, seven grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
