Dorothy Easley was born to Thomas Crump and Ella Weaver on November 15, 1922 in Scott, Arkansas.

Dorothy professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

On April 6, 1966 Joseph and Dorothy Easley were married and moved to Austin, Texas. Dorothy united with Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend J. J. Dixon and served with Mission II until her death.

Dorothy's parents Thomas Crump and Ella Collins preceded her in death; as did her two brothers Elmer and Arthur, and step son John Easley.

She leaves to cherish her departure a loving husband Joseph; son Elijah Straw (Pamela) of Oklahoma; step sons Willie Easley (Muriel) of Austin, Texas, Joseph Easley, Jr. (Gwen) of Camden, Arkansas; two step daughters Martha Easley and Diane Easley of Dallas, Texas; 16 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
