Patricia was born April 19, 1951, the first of six children to Jimmie Lou and Olanders Jones, Jr. in Houston, Texas.

She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. S. A. Davis at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. She attended the Austin public schools of Rosewood, Kealing Jr. High and Stephen F. Austin High (Rio Grande Campus).

Upon graduation from high school, Patricia attended Austin Community College to pursue a career in nursing and obtained her nursing degree in 1973. But before she finished nursing school, she met and married the love of her life, Clyde Stevens, on May 24, 1969. Patricia and Clyde honored their vows and each other by exemplifying a forty-five year marriage. As only God would have it, Clyde and Tricia's union was also blessed with two beautiful children, Clyde Jr., and Krystle Diane. Tricia worked diligently as a nurse for years at Ben Taub and M. D. Anderson Hospitals in Houston, Texas and at Seagoville State Hospital in Seagoville, Texas. After retiring from her extensive nursing profession, Patricia later in life worked as a home healthcare provider, still helping others in need for several years before finally bringing her nursing career to a halt due to health issues of her own.

Patricia transitioned into heavenly peace on April 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by parents, Jimmie Lou and Olanders Jones, Jr.; grandmother, Vera Wilson; brother Beau Jack Jones, and uncle James Howard.

She is survived in loving memory by her husband of forty-five years, Clyde Stevens; her son, Clyde Stevens, Jr. (Courtney); her daughter, Krystle Stevens; one grandchild, Zachery Stevens, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Lula Jones of Houston, Texas and Vera Meeks (Ron) of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Anthony Jones (Jean) of Houston, Texas and Clarence Clark (Renee) of Corpus Christi, Texas; one aunt, Virginia Banton (Clarence) and one great, great uncle, Richard Overton, both of Austin, Texas; mother-in-law, Arthur Mae Brown of San Antonio, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jessie Lee Stevens of Midland, Texas, Brenda White of Hobbs, New Mexico, Annette and Doris Stevens of Austin, Texas; brothers-in-law, James W. Price of Nashville, Tennessee, Gary Harmon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Preston Harmon of Hobbs, New Mexico; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
