Robert Louis Fennell. Sr. was born in Luling, Texas on May 12, 1936 to the late J. C. Fennell (Big Daddy) and Susie (Corley) Fennell. Robert was the second son born out of four boys. Soon after, Big Daddy met and married Geneva (Walker) Fennell who actively became the step mother to William Lee, Robert Louis and Jessie Ray.

Together the family relocated to the St. John addition of Austin, Texas. As a child Robert was active in church in both Del Valle and in St. John. Robert attended school in the St. Augustine and Austin School Districts.

After serving 4 years in the U. S. Navy, Robert returned to Austin where he met and married Doris Walker in 1957 and became a step dad to Dexter W. Walker. To this union Robert Louis II (Big Robbie) and Tamara (Tammy) were born. Robert worked for Balcones Research Center in Austin, Texas until he relocated to San Antonio where he worked at the Brook Army Center. Robert and Doris then had their 3rd child, Alisa (Lisa). In 1970, Robert had his 4th child Pamela Roundtree.

Robert later met Harriette, relocated back to Austin and from this relationship Robert Louis III (Little Robbie) was born. Robert later became a step dad to Quincy Joyner.

In July 1997, Robert married Eva (Scott) Fennell. Although Robert and Eva lived separately during this past year, they still remained married and close friends. Robert was instrumental in raising Eva's children Latrice Scott, Eva Renee Nash, Isaac (Ike) Nash, Tranice Nash (deceased) and her grandson Brandon Billingsley.

Later in life Robert traveled extensively between Texas, California and Phoenix, Arizona. In California Robert became associated with the Scott Brothers Motorcycle Club and was granted associate membership by the Phoenix, Arizona chapter. He was also associated with the El Dorado Social Club and the Golden Nugget Social Club. He will be missed by all.

Preceding Robert in death are both of his parents, J. C. Fennell, Susie Shuler, stepmother Geneva Fennell, his brothers William Lee Fennell and Charles Wayne Fennell; his step sister Beverly Mosby, grandsons Terrance Jason Lamont Baber and Anthony Andre Dewberry.
