Paula Jean Langdon Campbell, beloved mother of Langdon Drew Campbell-Jackson and Natalie Bernice Campbell-Jackson, and grandmother of Nazare B-mani Williams, was born July 13, 1947 in Austin, Texas. She was the only daughter of Allie Mae Jennings Langdon and Walter Langdon, Jr. who preceded her in death. Paula was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nechelle Lynn Campbell who had her same infectious smile, and by her brother Walter Langdon, III. Paula attended Holy Cross Catholic School and graduated from the original L. C. Anderson High School, Class of 1965.

During her formative years she professed a love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Paula was a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and was involved in several Ministries, especially being a leader for the Altar Servers. She was also a helpful member of the Family Life Committee.

Paula enrolled in Texas Southern University majoring in Textiles and Design. Paula was a natural and masterful seamstress. For years she made handmade beautiful items of clothing. Her very discerning eye for room design in terms of color, furnishing and overall décor enabled her to be very creative and she also passed that on in assisting others in their décor. While at Texas Southern, Paula became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Psi Chapter.

Paula was employed in the Austin Independent School District at Burnet Middle School in the area of Home Economics and assisted in honing her skills to the many students under her most capable guidance. Paula pursued a different career path when she was employed as an Aide in the office of then Texas State Representative Wilhelmina Delco. Paula retired from the State of Texas so that she could spend more time with her family

Paula was married to Larry Jackson and to this union her children Drew and Natalie were born.

Paula departed this life August 5, 2013 and leaves to cherish precious memories her children and granddaughter, loving friend Theresa Fontenette and family; a host of cousins, family and friends and the Holy Cross Catholic Church community as a whole. Her smiling eyes with the "big" dimples in her cheeks will be missed.

Services entrusted to King-Tears Mortuary, Inc.
