Carol Alayne (Staff) Scott passed peacefully into God's care on July 12, 2013. Carol was born on October 24, 1963 in Austin, Texas. She attended Austin Public Schools and later earned an advanced degree in Business Administration at Parks College in Austin, Texas.

Carol professed hope in Christ at an early age, was baptized and became a member of Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Carol and Edwin Scott were joined in marriage on April 27, 2002 and enjoyed a loving and joyful life together until her transition on Friday, July 12, 2013.

Carol possessed a passion for decorating and party planning. She was an advocate shopper and enjoyed baking for family and friends. She always displayed strong leadership, unconditional love and friendship. But most of all she was passionate about her marriage to Edwin.

Preceding her in death were her sister, Beverlee Larremore, and great niece, Raven Lofters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her wonderful husband, Edwin Scott, her mother, Mrs. Vivian L. Johnson, her mother-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Scott, both of Austin, TX; her three sisters, Ms. Ver'Na Horton, of Atlanta, GA; Ms. Barbara Gilmette and Ms. Georgia Brown, of Austin, TX; five nieces, Tabathie (Andrew) Lofters, of Austin, TX; Kemberly (Robert ) Joseph, of Atlanta, GA; Chandra Williams of Austin, TX; Lauren Gilmette of Ft. Worth, TX; Marissa Gilmette of Denton, TX; two nephews, James Rodney Primus and Donnie Manor both of Austin, TX and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, in laws, and many dear and close friends.
