Mr. Emmitt Allen Walker Sr. was born on September 15, 1952 in Gonzales, Texas. He was the fifth child born to Linzy Walker and Theressa House.

In 1957 Emmitt's loving mother moved him and his siblings to Austin where he attended Blackshear Elementary, Kealing Jr. High and old Anderson High School.

Emmitt started as a cook at the age of 14 working for the prominent Plantation Restaurant. His skills led him to become manager of three major establishments, Flap Jack Cannon, The Red Garden and The Still. He was known for his signature pecan pies and German chocolate cakes. Emmitt pleased a lot of appetites with his delicious food.

On July 24, 1974 Emmitt married the love of his life Marilyn White. To this union 3 wonderful sons were born Emmitt Jr., Quinton and Steven.

Emmitt never met a stranger, he had a heart of gold, he didn't judge and he never held a grudge. Anyone who was lucky enough to have him in their life knew they were truly blessed. He was known by a countless number of people as "Uncle Emmitt".

Emmitt is preceded in death by both parents two sisters Louise and Joan and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Left to cherish loving memories are his 3 sons Emmitt Jr., Quinton and Steven (Lahaina) 3 sisters, Pat (Robert), Debra and Betsy; 3 brothers Lynn, Cornelius and Moses (Stephanie); grandchildren Tevin, Camry, Toran and Pierce Walker, nieces and nephews great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends.
